Hello.  My name is Jocelyn Cura. I am very excited to be part of your child's education here at Coral Academy.  I am from Toms River, NJ and no matter how long I have resided here I still consider myself " a jersey girl'.  I have my undergrad in Psychology and worked as a Social worker for the elderly in NJ.  I changed gears and looked towards teaching.. I received my Master's in Elementary Education, from Regis Univ. and have been teaching for nine years now.  Prior to Coral, I taught Kindergarten for two years in a private school and five years in the only public charter Montessori based school in Vegas. I taught a multi-level class of 1st through 3rd graders.  A "modern day Little House on the Prairie" if you will..  I contribute my love of learning and my true calling to my grandmother. She and I will forever hold a special bond, as she was a teacher herself.  I love spending time with my son, Max, who is in 6th grade now ( my how time flies ) when I am not teaching. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to the CHANGE the world"_ Nelson Mandela.
